Colorado Institute for Early Learning is a minority woman owned business, established in 2018. CIEL offers a before and after school program as well as a summer camp. CIEL partners with Denver Public Schools, and we are currently operating at two locations, Smith and Columbine Elementary. Our STEM curriculum is designed in house, with the Whole Child development and support theory in mind.
Our Whole Child theory curriculum teaches anti bullying and character building. Our anti-bullying curriculum enriches children on how to effectively respond to bullies and how to not be a bully; while our character building incorporates concepts like integrity, honesty, and self-love.
Our Director Tara Smallwood has a B.A. in Early Childhood Education and holding Director license. Her passion for educating children started over 25 years ago with an in-home childcare center. Her mission is to love children first and then teach them.
Colorado Institute for Early Learning will provide an alternative to the ordinary childcare and after school care; one that not only meet your childcare needs but also provide an activity-based learning environment that mirrors those used at colleges, universities, and vocational centers around the nation. A program of professional care givers with the credentials to not only enhance your child’s early social and motor skills, but to also teach them advanced studies in the arts and sciences found at institution of higher learning's collegiate base curriculum. We will tailor our program specifically for children’s learning, taught in a fun, loving and nurturing environment. The institute will respond to the needs of the parents and students. We will provide excellent care giving and instruction, an advanced curriculum, flexible programs, local community involvement and business partnerships. The institution has a strong commitment to accessibility and diversity, committing to taking a leadership role in the childcare services, higher learning, community services and promoting cultural diversity. Colorado institute for early learning directs its activities towards student’s success. CIEL will offer this quality care with a safe environment and a variety of activities throughout the day.
Colorado Institute for Early Learning (CIEL) aim is to prepare its students to excel in education and more importantly to be successful in life. The Abeka curriculum will be used because it tailors specifically for children to excel in both education and morality.
CIEL wants to establish a significantly large full-time regular client base to create a healthy, consistent revenue source to ensure stability of the business. When parents see their children growing and excelling educationally and personally it will be an incentive to keep their children in CIEL establishing a loyal customer base.
Unlike our competitors we will also offer per hour rates for students as well as after-hours rates for parents that work different shifts. Also, occasional and emergency care will be provided. We will offer before and after school service, tutoring and other activities like dance, art etc.
